Directions - Stacked Bracelet Kits (Videos WILL BE UPLOADED

Supplies Included

DIY stacked bracelet kit with beads and materials.

  • 6 Bags of Beads (includes at least 1 full bag of wooden beads) - at least 7 inches of beads in each bag
  • 1 Bag of accent and statement beads
  • Detailed instructions
  • Felt workmat (9" x 5")
  • 80+ inches of elastic cord
  • Glue with an extra-fine tip (red cap)
  • Clippers for cutting elastic cord
  • Round adhesive tape for ends of each piece of cord (to keep the beads from sliding off during design
  • Measuring tape

Step 1: Measure/Cut Elastic

Colorful handcrafted bracelets on display.

Measure your wrist. Your finished bracelets will likely be about ¼ - ½" longer than this measurement for a comfortable fit.

Add 4-5" to your wrist measurement and cut each piece of cord to that length. You will need at least 2" on each side of the beads to tie. For example: Wrist is 7" > cut cord to be 11.5" in length > should be able to make 7 bracelets with the supplies included. See example below.

Stretch each piece of cord to double its length ONE time. Do not stretch repeatedly, as it will make the cord more brittle.

Fold a circle adhesive in half around one end of each string piece. This will temporarily hold the beads on until you are ready to tie.

Step 2: Design your Bracelet

Visual guide showing bead stringing patterns with varying block and accent styles.

Lay beads out on the felt work mat. Use

the measuring tape to estimate the length

of the beaded design.

A few general tips:

  • Start or end each bracelet with a wooden bead/bead with a large hole to hide the knot.
  • Bracelets with larger beads will be slightly longer than bracelets with smaller beads.

Pattern/Design Ideas & Tips

Handmade clay necklace and bracelet on a fabric surface.

Tips:

  • The large circles on the end of each design above represent a wooden bead/ bead with a larger hole
  • These are pattern ideas only (the # of shapes above does not correlate to counted beads on the finished bracelet)

Step 3: Measure Your Bracelet

Step 4: Tie & Glue Your Bracelets

Hands beading bracelet string with small light pink beads.

Measure the bracelet – Center the beads on the cord and have someone help you wrap the unfinished bracelet around your wrist and cross the ends of the string at the top. You should easily fit a pinkie finger between the bracelet and your wrist for a comfortable, yet fitted bracelet. Trust us!

Step 4: Tie & Glue Your Bracelets

Step 4: Tie & Glue Your Bracelets

Carefully stretch your bracelet one more time and then tie 3 sets of square knots.

  • Left over right, then right over left
  • Pull tightly on the ends of the cord
  • Stretch the knot by pulling on the tails and beaded cord at the same time
  • Repeat two more times (3 knots = 6 ties)
  • Trim the cord tails to about 1/8" long
  • Open glue, break seal, & add tip w/ red cap
  • Cover knot with glue, stretch cord, and push end bead (large hole) over the knot
